Frankie

During 2025 Christmas week, we were able to provide a true holiday miracle for a skinny kitten who had nowhere else to turn. Frankie came from a backyard colony in Central Texas. When the homeowner was foreclosed on, a local rescue stepped in to humanely trap and relocate the cats. Frankie was the last kitten captured, and during the process they discovered that he is blind and extremely fearful. The rescue shared that they did not have anyone who could take on a blind, feral kitten and that without placement, euthanasia would likely be his only option.

Thanks to donor and grant support, we were able to accept Frankie, ensuring his life was spared and his needs could be met. We've moved him into our home where he can be in a calm environment and receive daily socialization and gentle handling tailored specifically for him. Although understandably frightened, Frankie has already begun to show encouraging signs of trust, allowing himself to be held, purring, and leaning in for comfort. He's going to be just fine.
