Ariel

Ariel came to us from the Good Shepherd Humane Society in Eureka Springs, AR in June of 2021. Nothing was really known about her except that she was blind, not spayed, and approximately two years old. After a few months at the shelter, they reached out to us to see if we could take her as she did not have any adoption interest and they had run out of options. Of course, we said yes.

Our vet confirmed she has a little vision in her periphery but not much else. Many things can cause a kitty to go blind but in Ariel’s case, it was likely high blood pressure. Her blood pressure levels were sky-high. She’s now on daily medication to keep it under control. It is uncertain if she will ever regain her sight but with regular vet care and a healthy diet, we will remain optimistic.

Ariel is a very sweet and friendly girl. Kiki (also blind) is her best friend. They are often seen play wrestling then grooming each other.
