Missy

Missy is one of our oldest cats. She originally came to us as a stray from the Stanford University campus in 2001. The campus TNR group had rescued her but nobody would adopt her. Not only did she have a blind eye that looked funny, but she was terrified and didn’t seem friendly. When she came to live here, she spent 2 months hiding under a bed. It would take almost 2 years before she would allow us to touch her. But when she finally did, she wouldn’t leave our side. She had discovered that pets and hugs were awesome. She developed a tumor above her bad eye about 5 years ago, which was successfully removed but it left her eye slightly askew. You can find her ruling over “her” couch in the Sanctuary.
