Chuck

Chuck came to us from a large TNR effort in Russellville, AR. During his surgery, the vet discovered he had stomatitis, an autoimmune condition that causes painful mouth ulcers. He had a dental to help alleviate the reaction but there was concern the ulcers could return, making eating very painful. The group reached out to us for help and we welcomed him into the sanctuary so he could be guaranteed immediate treatment if the problem ever returned. He arrived absolutely terrified of everything but we were hopeful he would turn around as his rescuer discovered he could be bribed with meat tube treats, which he absolutely loved. He's made several new friends and has gained so much confidence that he will venture out into the main room with no problems. We can't wait until he discovers the cat doors to the deck and yard! He's a sweet, adventurous boy and so playful.
